Thoughts?

Have patience and get a 3060 ti instead of the 1660S. The 1660S is very overpriced at $400. That's what the 3060 TI is supposed to be priced at.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

You could ditch the cpu cooler and increase the budget by $40 and get a ryzen 5600x (with stock cooler) instead of ryzen 3600.

The build looks good! I made a few changes below.

 

  • I switched the SSD for one with TLC NAND and DRAM cache that will perform better as an OS drive.
  • The GPU is overpriced (they all are) so the best option might be to look for a used GTX 1080 or similar. Even a 1080ti might fit in your budget.
  • I switched out the case. The one you chose is notorious for poor airflow.
  • The PSU you chose is quite low quality. The Corsair CX unit is very good, on the other hand.
