Thoughts and tips on my MiniITX Gaming Rig

PC build - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3digS

Hey Guys I just put this together and thinking of building it myself. This is the first time I have ever made my own pc and I hear you guys can help. All you'r support and tips would be greatly. If you change any parts could you add any explanation to why you have decided so. Like I said this my first time and I hope this can become my new hobby.

Cheers guys and happy building :)

You probably just misclicked the Case on PC-PartPicker, but just to be sure:

These are two different cases : Phenom MicroATX and Phenom MiniITX Cases.

The MicroATX case, the one you have selected, would still actually work with the ITX mobo, so I'm not sure if that is your intention.

Why do you have a 80 USD Caviar black in your list?

Also, the ssd doesn't have a price listed.

I'm a bit confused though. So what's the situation with the storage? Are you buying it for 80 USD?

Don't worry I'l find some other HHD and SSD to get the best of both worlds. Lets say its a placeholder to see if it would be compatible I've updated the build to one that I'm able to get it in the UK. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

The original was around £750 but I couldn't find a good configuration of CPU and graphics card. So the good guys on this forum helped me out and made a cheaper MiniITX build without bottlenecking.

Alright. How's this look? http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/3e10n

Move rear fan to front for intake. Use Arctic F12 PWM CO for rear exhuast.

Not a bad build although I was sorta of satisfied with EVGA graphics card of my choice I'm sure it was way to big for a MiniITX

Why would the brand matter? Any 770 would still trump any 760.

Mitx doesn't inherently have any restrictions to the size of the graphics card.

You'd want at least a 780/290 for 1440p gaming. A 770 is pushing it for upcoming games in 1440p. --unless you're just playing toaster games like League of Legends.
