No idea. There are many factors

-When the Pandemic starts getting better

-When companies are able to fully manufacture their GPUS at a decent pace.

-When scalpers die

Those are just some factors that came up in my head. There are probably much more.

When the next generation of GPUs is released. Not stock of the new ones mind you, but of the 3000 series.

worse than it was before, it may recover slow or stock too much after time then prices maybe has to adjust.

but would think the best prices are long gone, unless you want to wait long.

I would say its gonna be another 2 years till markets normalize. It's gonna take a long time to vaccinate a lot of the world. Fact is GPU's are very complex and require a lot of parts going all the way back too the minerals mined for them all the way up to the engineers who engineer them theres a lot of points in the supply chain and if one fails it can cause massive disruption. The other factor is crypto currency miners and bot networks. If crypto mining became less profitable than that would be a huge boost as there would be a big sell off (theres one mining rig with like 87 3090s that makes like $100k+ per year). The other thing is markets could attempt to limit the amount of GPUs one customer could purchase by placing in better bot detection and making it harder to purchase by adding extra steps like account creation, phone/email verification and make it harder for people to create multiple fake accounts to purchase more GPUs. (would also cut into scaplers who try and buy out the supply)
