I need Help

Ghastlyspecter

I got a Msi 3080 gaming x trio. And when I got it I tried running a triple a game. When I start one my cpu speed goes down base speed then after a few mins it goes down to 0.7 ghz. I have had the cpu for five months and before my 3080 I used a EVGA 1050ti. This issue occurred right as I got my GPU. After some trial and error i found out that when i uninstall my gpu driver the issue is fixed. but as soon as i re-install it the issue comes back. And help would be greatly appreciated. I thought I fixed it two days ago when I updated my bios but now the issue is back and I don't know what to do.

Specs

Case spec-omega black

Msi 3080 gaming x trio

Intel i9 10900kf

Asus z490 e gaming

Corsair RM 850x

XPG GAMMIX 2TB S11 NVMe

Trident z 2x8Gb 3200mhz

corsair h100i duel radiator

Hopefully people will see this

Edit: I realized that the issue came back after updating windows. Maybe Windows is the issue?

Edit 2: i found out something else i just started up far cry primal and borderlands 1 both of those don't trigger the issue. Maybe its only with online games

As you say it seems like a driver issue. I would try a DDU and windows updates.

If it persist I would try reinstalling windows.

I dont have any windows update although it seems as if the update came back after a windows update

You can turn off the system, and pull the battery out of the motherboard for about a minute
