Laptop switches off when you lift it up (Acer SP513-51)

BlueBanana45

Whenever I move my laptop or lift it up, it switches it off. I am wondering what the issue is and on other forums, there are the same issues but no solutions. Thank you!

You're probably flexing the laptop when you're moving it, causing shorts or connections to come loose

Please pick up laptop with two hands on both sides if you aren't, it's not as strong as you think it is

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

make sure your power cable is not damaged or something. If your battery is just... dead... when you lift the laptop you might dislodge what is already a bad connector, and even tho it may look like it is fine it may not. while the laptop is sitting on a leveled plane move around the connector it should not do anything what so ever

Is the connector you are referencing the thing that plugs into the laptop? I use it in laptop mode without the charger so I don't think its dead unless you are referencing something else. Would I need to take off the Chassis to see if it is damaged?

Thank you
