Cannot download certain files from the internet (chrome or other)

tsolteg

Hi, for the past a few weeks I'm having a problem with downloading some files from the internet such as OBS software or some other software and games. It only downloaded like a couple of MB and then slowly increased the time remaining from 10 secs to like days even it was just 50MB file. I can actually browse the chrome like usual and nothing wrong with the speed of the internet. Tried to use different browser, delete my past cache, cookies and everything. Used the JRT, ADWCleaner, netAdapater but still couldnt manage to download properly. I don't know if its the network or in the pc

Have you tried disabling any extensions (if you have any installed)

It could also be your firewall. and/or if you're connected to a VPN your download speeds can also be slowed.

looks like we need more info if we can help bud.

  • are you using any proxy? VPN?
  • are you using your home network or office/school?
  • are you running any antivirus software?
  • is your PC controlled by your organisation or some domain?
  • wifi or ethernet?
  • do you have space on your hdd/ssd?
  • have you tried downloading the same thing on another device? maybe on your phone?
  • go through your browser extentions and delete any suspicious ones. but i doubt its this one cause you said you tried other browsers aswell.
