While yes, you can clone your existing Windows installation to your new drive, I always recommend a fresh installation. It lets you start over without any issues that your current installation may have.

Unplug all other drives

Clean install windows on SSD

Plug in old drive

Set BIOS to boot off SSD

Disk Manager and assign HDD a letter (if not done automatically)

Copy files you need off HDD to SSD

Delete Windows files off HDD or optionally copy non-windows files elsewhere and format the drive.
