Upgrading from Galaxy A8

Hey All,

 

I'm looking to upgrade from my two year old galaxy A8. I'm looking for something in roughly the same size (5.6 inch so lets say under 6), more internal memory (currently 32GB + SD). More CPU power would be great but not a huge dealbreaker.

My budget is max. €400,- and i prefer a non-china smartphone (no huawei or oppo etc)

Google Pixel 4a. $350 US, so it should be within your budget (not sure of the exact conversion rate, but it should be within your budget). It's 5.8 inches, but its a bezel-less design so it's actually smaller than my old Nexus 5X with its 5.2 inch display. It comes with 128GB of space, which should be enough storage. The display is crisp, the software is snappy, and it's a google phone so updates are frequent and guaranteed for 2 years plus a year of software support, with the ability to flash custom software if you want to try to use it for longer. You really cannot go wrong with it, there's a reason it was sold out for 2 months after it was launched.

 

P.S. This is coming from someone who owns it, so it may be slightly biased, but I can confirm the performance and everything.
