Hey,

I was looking into building another PC and though on using a Ryzen 5 3600 with a 3070. Is it a good match? After all, I though of going instead with the Ryzen 7 3700x because it has more cores and maybe it offers more performance right off the bat, but the price is also higher. I'm only going to game and do some work for school. Is it worth going with the 3700x?

If you are going 1440p the 3600 and 3070 are a good match. At 1080p you will most likely see a substantial bottleneck.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

well at 1080p ryzen 5 3600 wont bottleneck even 2080ti (which is little better than 3070)

Ok fair enough. I guess it depends on the workload more like Cyberpunk VS csgo.

I will most likely play multiplayer fps games like warzone or apex and play sometimes single player games.

i play apex too. if you play at higher settings no worries about bottleneck. Warzone is really cpu heavi. it is likely that 3700x would be bottleneck for 3070 in that title.

So I should go 3600?

I eman yeah. If you have a budget for 3700x, better to go with 5600x instead.
