Lancool II Mesh vs Pure Base 500DX

Katz

Hey guys, so i wanted to change my really old hp case for a new one, i really want a mesh one and right now my 2 favorite options are either the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh or the Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX.

The thing is, i think the Lian Li is better at thermals for what i've seen, but it's a little too big and i would have no space left in my desk, also i really like that the white version of the Pure Base is entirely white because my hardware is going for a white aesthetic, but i really can't decide, any thoughts?

pure base 500Dc should have similar airflow, but it's fans are one of the quietest fans which come with cases.

I was in the same situation, having to choose between the 500dx and Lancool II, and eventually chose the latter because the 500dx sadly sold out everywhere in my city.

Either way I am very satisfied with the Lancool II and is probably one of my favourite cases. The only real problem I have is the amount of dust that can come inside because there is no dust filter on the front and the mesh isn't the finest. Also, if you mind it, the Lancool IIs have a hole on the top IO meant for an optional USB-C cable you have to buy extra, but I don't really mind it. Building in it was quite fun and hinged panels made it a lot easier, as well as the cable covers on the back.

I think both are very good cases, but I would personally go for the Lancool II Performance if you can.

I have a Lancool II Mesh. I bought some cheap magnetic dust filters and that helped a lot with the dust. Biggest complaint with the case is the included fans. They cool well and the rgb looks good but they are not pwm so they run kinda loud.
