RAM is running on low speeds, XMP doesn't work

So it all started when I realised that half of my 16gb of ram was hardware reserved. I googled a bunch of solutions to that, but nothing really worked, so I tried to go into BIOS and see what's up. I saw that my ram speed was at 2133mhz, even though it was advertised for 3000mhz, my friend told me that this was the cause of the hardware reserved ram. So I went on to increase the XMP value to 2, to see if that would work. Instead it bricked my pc, and I had to do a CMOS reset. I also updated my BIOS to the newest version, played around with the position of the ram sticks, but to no avail.

Please let me know if you know a solution, I just want my full 16gb of RAM, not 8gb.

Copied from Aapuls.com but many other sites show same resolution:

This option in Windows is used to reserve RAM that is used during the boot procedure when your system is turning on. By default, it may permanently and unnecessarily reserve a significantly large amount of RAM for it.

To set that right, Press and Hold the Windows key and Press R. Type msconfig in the Run dialog box and Press Enter.
The System Configuration window will open. Go to the Boot tab in it.
Select your Operating system from the list below if you have more than one. Now Click on the Advanced Options button.
On the upper right corner, Clear the checkbox next to Maximum memory. Click Ok.

As for the memory speed, I haven't ever played with Zen based AMD buy from what I have seen in forums such as this is memory is a lot more fussy than on Intel systems. You maybe able to manually tune your ram to a higher clock speed.

This doesn't work, the maximum it goes up to is 4100mb of ram out of 16000mb.

Have you unticked the maximum box? You don't have to populate it with anything.

RAM timings in BIOS. Look on YouTube videos for your motherboard and ram tuning and you should get some results.
