USB - Not Enough USB Resources

MSharpeWriter

I have a issue with my current setup... Every time I so Often when I plug my Phone or another USB device in to my Powered USB3 Hub, I get a "Not Enough USB Resources" Notification. And Of course the newly hardware doesn't work with my PC.

This has resulted in me playing shuffle the devices if I want to use something I don't have connected to connect.

I read that this could be fixed by changing the BOIS settings to disable XCHI?/USB3. But I have Elgato Game Capture HD60S which requires USB3.

I admit I've filled most of my USB Ports with various devices..

I'm running a i5-4690K, on a Asus Z97-p motherboard. (I don't feel like the need to upgrade yet.. I've had this setup for about 4 years and change...)

What solutions are there to allow me use the all my USB Devices?

Would purchasing a USB 3 PCIe card help?

Is the hub that you're using powered by an external source or by the USB port its plugged into?

And how many USB devices do you have connected to it?

The USB is Powered 7 port.

Quite a few.. 7 on the hub, Hub plus another 5 around back, 2 up front..
