I have x570 Aorus elite motherboard. And I recently got a 5000 cpu. I know I need to update bios. I dowloaded the bios update on a usb storage device. The storage device is in the correct fat-16/32 format. I already extracted the file. I need to rename the file, but I don't know to what should I rename it to.

I personally haven't been able to get Q-FLASH to activate on my board, but I do know that you don't have to rename it, you just have to extract the BIOS as it is from the zip file. Mine was called "B550AEAV.11p"

However, word of advice, some boards can actually boot to BIOS with a 5000 series CPU where you can flash an update. I actually managed to get into BIOS and flash the Ryzen 5000 series BIOS update on my B550 Aorus Elite AX V2 without having to use Q-FLASH.

My profile picure is real. That's what I look like in real life. I'm actually a blue and white African Wild Dog.

I am updating the computer bios without cpu. I have a x570 aorus elite motherboard. I have all the neccesary information in the usb device. I put the usb divice on the motherboard designated area to connect the bios update. But when I press the Q flass button on my motherboard nothing happens. I heard the computer has to be connected and with the psu on. But still my q flash button isn't flashing. I must also add non of my led are on. But when I press the power Botton everything turns on.

yes you need power with the PSU connected.

Some says different, and you might have a manual there or on their website on Q-flash?

Some might want you to hold it in for 3s, then let its do it's thing.

Don't mess around with it too much, when taking it out in the process might do stuff to it.

It could also be how you extracted the files and the name of the file, some systems might be very picky on that?

I have disconnect all the parts only the motherboard with the cpu cable and 24 pin on. But even when I press the Bottom it does not start flashing. It doesn't even flash. Can it be that my motherboard is not working ?

Could be "bricked" or something wrong, send it back and either get a new board from warranty or if they can fix it?

and it doesn't run with the CPU and GPU (if needed) installed either?

This is the flash proceedure for recovery.

https://www.aorus.com/blog/How-to-Update-Your-BIOS-Part-2.php

Step 1: Prepare the USB drive

Download the latest BIOS version for your motherboard from the motherboard product page. Extract the downloaded BIOS file to the root of your flash drive. We need to rename the BIOS file so that Q-Flash Plus can find it. Rename the BIOS file to GIGABYTE.bin.

Step 2: Plug the USB drive into your computer

Now you need to plug the USB drive into the USB port that supports Q-Flash Plus. You will be able to find this in the manual of your motherboard.

Step 3: Flash the BIOS using Q-Flash Plus

Ensure that your power supply is connected to your motherboard and try and boot your computer. After about 20 seconds, Q-Flash Plus will notice that the computer is not booting correctly and will start the BIOS flashing process automatically.

You will see that the BIOS LED will start flashing on your motherboard which indicates that the BIOS flash is currently in progress. After a few minutes, the LED shall stop flashing which means that the BIOS flash has been completed.
