mine had to been some philips 4GB Go Gear which the small HDD died with 3 months (The clicking of death upon turning it on one day  )

 

then i\my very first Flash Based was from COWON the iAudio F2

Cheap one my dad got free from xerox. There were no menues on it, just screen displaying song name and play/pause and forward/back buttons.

I can't remember for my life what the brand was but it was a portable CD player and all I ever used to listen is my dad's Linkin Park Hybrid Theory album... That started me of with that kind of music and slightly damaged my hearing since I used to blast it ( I now can't distinguish a difference in volume at a certain volume ) keep in mind I were about 5-6 too
