My ethernet cable is STUCK!

Hi guys, i feel very stupid but i think i didnt remove the protections from the io shield when i plugged in my ethernet cable and now its stuck to the motherboard. Is it gg for me or can i do something about it?

I can push back and forward and it moves but i can't remove it

Try pliers - squish the locking tab and then yank on it.

Tolerances on parts can vary making the locking tabs a pain in the ass to remove at times. Now you know the trick

 

As long as you network connection still works you haven't damaged anything.
