Best 140mm long 750w 80+ Gold PSU?

Hi guys, planning to do a new build soon, but the case I'm looking at getting is quite compact (Corsair 220T Airflow) so I'm not sure my current PSU will fit (165mm long) with the HDD cage in place. So if it doesn't I'll need something more compact, ideally no more than 140mm.

 

I've done a fair amount of research and the ADATA XPG Core Reactor 750W looked like the best option, but was just wondering if I'd missed anything and if any others are worth considering? I'd like something that's good quality and quiet too.

Go with Seasonic or Seasonic-OEM.

Use PCPartPicker, there are tons of options that are 140mm or less, that said a 165cm PSU should fit no problem.

It is a quality Tier A PSU, the ADATA XPG Core Reactor is also a good option.

That Core Reactor that you found actually is a top tier PSU, they use a high end platform just like the other PSU's in that same tier. I'd get it if it's at the right price.

You could also get the mentioned TX750M, but it's less good and only semi modular. Still a great option as well though, both very reliable.

I'd personally avoid Corsair because I had one fail on me today.

Personal bias is not a guarantee for quality. Parts fail, it happens.

What he says is true. For example the Corsair RMx series. These are really popular and sold a lot, but you also don't want to know how many people have to RMA them. Any PSU can fail, some survive longer than other, it's also a lottery sometimes. Corsair makes great quality PSUs in general, but that doesn't mean it applies to every model.

It was an RM850x I got just over a year ago. I'm now expecting a Phanteks AMP 550W to come today to replace it and then maybe order a Seasonic GX-850 to replace that and make a secondary system with the Phanteks one.

RMx has 10-year warranty, RMA it.

I contacted Corsair a couple days ago and am waiting for a response
