Hello,

Thanks in advance for any help that you guys can offer. I have decided to start a small business and maybe go to school. I currently have an old laptop and decided I needed something faster. So after doing some wheeling and dealing on craigslist and facebook marketplace. I came across two HP All In One 20-c020. Yeah I know these aren't beasts by any means. Anyway I have not really ever done anything technical. I've never built my own PC or anything like that. I have watched some youtube videos and adding RAM looks pretty easy. I have a few questions.

1. If I buy a pair of 8 GB Ram sticks can I split them up? One going into the first machine and the other going into the other. When pulling up the computer specs it says that I can only upgrade to 8 GB of ram. There is also only one slot per computer. It would save me a few bucks to to buy them in a pair, but not very much. Or should I just buy them individually? I'm not sure if they work in tandem. This is what I am looking at putting into the machines. Crucial 16GB (2 x 8GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Laptop Memory Model CT2KIT102464BF160B

2. Once I get the first questions sorted out and I install the RAM into the PC what should I expect. Do I just fire up the machine and go from there? Do I need to run software? Mess with the settings?

1. kits sold with multiple sticks are just verified to work together

-they do not need to be together to work, you can split them

-you can even use sticks from other kits together*

*terms and conditions apply

2. basically, if it doesn't boot then reset your CMOS and give it a restart or two if needed

Yes you can split them up does not matter they are just 2 sticks of ram.

It should just fire up. Sometimes they might restart once or twice for ram training and just start normally.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.
