wanted to redo my whole room and part of that is making my pc so I can see it. My desk doesnt really have enough room to put it on top so I came up with these 2 ideas. A cut a hole in my desk, make a little box in there, and cover it with acrylic. B Make a custom case and hang it on my wall. I can think of a lot of pros and cons like cable extensions and airflow but i wont bore you. Do you guys have thoughts? Any other cool ideas? My drawings are really messy rn and Ill make something better with measurements when im more decisive

OUTDATED JAN 2021 ===========> Check out my pc building guide! might be useful tho

It's great for planning new builds, getting a reference on where to start, or seeing what you need to play what games.

It also shows what I recommend for upgrading your stuff!

yeah, was thinking that if I made it thin enough it would matter but I just realised cable management would be a mess. I'm making a better drawing rn and will 3d model one if I figure out how and feel ambitious enough 😛

back then my dads family pc desk had one and we would lean on it an bend the shit out of it and he would get mad at us... plus it would have to be 2 and half feet wide unless you got the numberless keybord. but that imo

I finished my second draft it looks a lot cleaner. I think that's enough to start a build if I wanted the only thing is I didn't mark out a mounting mechanism for the divider, mark out my rgb strips (if I use any), do any mounting in the bottom half, or design my cable housing. Do you think this is good? Do you see any small detail that I might've missed? (like I almost forgot a place for my power button.) Cables holes are approximate right now.

Also, do you happen to know how long the tubing on an AIO is? (https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4TpmP6/cooler-master-masterliquid-ml120l-rgb-v2-6559-cfm-liquid-cpu-cooler-mlw-d12m-a18pc-r2) I want to manage it like a cable if I can

its a hexagon (obviously) the 2 intake fans in dark green and push air up and through thr middle to may AIO which im using as a poor-boy exhaust which I'm sure would be bad but im fine with it. I was gonna cut a slot out behind the gpu so it gets some better cooling. It's 9 inches tall and divided into 2 levels. The front has the cool and rgb stuff, the back has psu and cable monstrosity.

The picture on the right is a bottom-ish view that peeks a bit to the inside top

well if your happy then i guess why not. i think the aio tubes will be too short imo and only a 120mm aio sucks. pcie gen 4 atm dose not work with pcie extensions atm in case you wanted to upgrade in the future.
