I just built my new pc recently, 5800x and a 3070, and every time I boot up Rust to play my computer just shuts down. I'll be on a server for around 5 minutes, and then my computer completely crashes. Can anyone help??

^ for reference

I still want to believe its power related. Do you have 1 cable leading into your gpu that is split into 2? or are they seperate cables? Is there a switch between 115 and 230v on the psu? if so make sure its on 115

OUTDATED JAN 2021 ===========> Check out my pc building guide! might be useful tho

It's great for planning new builds, getting a reference on where to start, or seeing what you need to play what games.

It also shows what I recommend for upgrading your stuff!

cpu - ryzen 5 3600

gpu - gtx 1070

ram - (2x8) 3200mhz

ssd - 970 evo plus 500gb

ssd2 - 860 qvo 1tb

mobo - asrock b450m hdv r4.0

psu - evga b5 550w bronze

what bios version are you running on the b550-f? 1004 or 1202?

I updated bios and it fixed my problem with other games crashing, but Minecraft will still randomly crash with error code 0, which means successful exit. It's weird.

I have a 5800x and a 3070

well the minecraft problem is probably just minecraft, it shouldn't have problems with your hardware. maybe trying using a third party client like Badlion or Lunar. But Rust runs fine?
