Usb 3.0 detected as usb 2.0

Minesheap

Hello everyone, i have a problem

My config:

Cpu: Ryzen 5 2600

Mobo: Asus strix b450 f-gaming

Gpu: Rtx 3070 (Yeah seems a little unbalanced, but i‘ll uprgrade soon)

SSD: Some weird WD Blue 250 gig one

Cable Fresh n‘ rebel 3 m usb c 3.0 cable

The Problem is that i want to use an Oculus quest 2 which runs perfectly fine with the inside Processor and graphics but when i connect it to my

Pc the oculus link software says, that it only runs in usb 2.0 and then it kicks apps out after a time.

I have tried refreshing the drivers for my usb root hubs and also updated

the bios to the newest version (4707) or something i dunno. And this hcix hands off thing i tried with enabled and disabled.

Maybe somebody already had this problem and fixed it and can help me out

Thanks

What cable are you using? Not all cables are created equal.
Make sure you're using a 60/100W USB-C cable, you can also look for Thunderbolt 3 cables (those are basically high quality USB-C cables)

You should also try removing every unnecessary USB device from your PC while you try - you might be hitting device limits on the usb controller...

Planning on trying StarCitizen (Highly recommended)? STAR-NR5P-CJFR is my referal link

Yes your cable does not meet the Standart.

I tryed a few of my cheap "USB3" Type C Phone charger cables and all of them wont do the Job.

I bought a 3.1 USB Type C with some good Reviews on Amazon and voila it works at 3.0 speeds.
