Which Gpu would you suggest?

Abdullah Bhutta

Hi Guys,

I wanted to know  your opinion ... which GPU you would suggest me to buy.

Only these 3 :-

1.Amd Rx 570

2.Gtx 1050Ti

3.Gtx 970

All are 4Gb Cards

Which card should i buy ? Only performance and your opinion counts ... Not price

Thanks

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

570 is the better performing card in gaming out of the bunch.

GTX 970 for sure. Maybe the RX 570 if you can get it for cheaper than the 970

1050ti is out of the question

theres also a lot more to a gpu than vram, there’s a 4gb gt 710 out there and it’s garbage

around the price of a gtx 970 also look into an R9 290x which can sometimes get that cheap and perform a little better at the expense of being more power hungry

970 still wins out in other places though, due to different technologies

So it might even be the best option depending on the use case, who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

True. Seems to handle a few games better, but 570 is still the best for the majority. Also a few years newer, if that means anything?

570 has more Vram on the lowest config so yeah, a little bit

Keeping in mind the 970's 4GB = 3.5 😁

It’s 3.5gb + .5gb of slower ram

They were actually sued over that one and had to rebrand 970’s as 3.5gb cards

Its 4gb on a technicality, if you manage to use that last 512mb though it gets slow

lmao the 970 debacle, i remember that; that was a giant meme, it was so scandalous at the time (rightfully so)

I'd go with the RX 570 though OP, best card out of the bunch

The other 512Mb is slow buffered memory which causes stuttering and slow frames (if the other 3.5 Gb gets filled)

Wow, very interesting. Seems like a stupid trick to save money, no? I guess it's sort of like the 1060 3GB vs 6GB, where they secretly reduced the core count by 10%.
