My family gave me a 9900KF and I'm currently running a 9600K with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition. I noticed on Noctua's road map (https://noctua.at/en/product-roadmap) that a black edition of the NH-U12A is coming out, and I'm quite keen on getting one. Since I do care about my aesthetics of my build, I didn't feel like getting the normal NH-U12A for my build. I like the looks of AIOs but I'm just not into liquids being in my computer. I'm just wondering if I just upgrade my CPU cooler to something else or just roll with my Hyper 212 until the black NH-U12A comes out. Thanks.

Just get a U12S black edition. It will perform almost the same as a U12A.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

U12S is barely an upgrade. And with an extra fan it costs more than Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240. There are plenty better coolers for cheaper than U12S too. Arctic Freezer 50, Scythe Fuma2/Mugen5/Ninja5.

The u12s is a substantial upgrade over the hyper 212 I suggested because OP wanted to buy a U12A which would not be very different than a u12s.

I ended up using my 212 as I don't do CPU intensive tasks. I'll probably get a better cooler in the future but for now thanks for all your input. :D (almost bricked my entire PC because I accidentally bent a pin. Somehow managed to re-bend it)
