GPU mounting questions

Hi all,

 

hope you all had a great Christmas. I’ve just built a gaming PC (waiting for GPU) and just wanted to ask a question about GPU mounting. So I had originally planned to vertically mount the GPU but the h510 case from NZXT has the slot but not the mounting point, great work. So I then thought of moving the radiator but I like where it is. So my question is:

 

if I use an extension cable can I mount the GPU in one of the lower mounting points rather than level with the pcie slot. 
 

I hope this makes sense, I’m still fairly new to all of this.

You mean to use the lower pci slots on the case where the board isn’t at?

Should work if you want to stuff the card and the bottom of the case and effect the cooling drastically.

I was thinking mount it half way between using an extension cable and something to prop it up.  Should I just move the radiator

Is there not enough space to move the radiator to the top of the case, see if both that and GPU fits and you could use the top fan for the back exhaust?

Possibly, I haven’t measured it. I’m reluctant because a) it’s a ball ache and b) I’d prefer it there
