Need to Hear From Someone Who Has Paired Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 with AsRock PG Velocita Z490 Motherboard Please!

Catdog

Hello! I have the AsRock PG Velocita Z490, which comes with a more chunky cooling package for VRM than most Mobo's, it has two MOBO fans, some pipes and shrouding which take up some room.

I need to know before I commit to buying the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 whether it will fit this Mobo! I've tried looking at https://www.ocinside.de/review/fit_for_fan/ and it's too hard to tell if it will collide or just barely fit!

The Arctic Freezer's block is a chunky 98mm long, so I'm worried I won't have the room when compared with the tall and fat MOS fan set up on this motherboard!

This place tells me it's "compatible" but I'm not exactly confident in that due to lack of evidence, if the site or any reviewer has tried the combo or whether blatantly all 'LGA 1200 Series Motherboards are supposed to be compatible', whether that's the case or not in the real world... Cheers!

Heatsinks and coolers are made to fit the manufacturers guidance on clearance and so are the VRM Coolers. I have never seen a modern board have the VRM cooler interfere with a heatsink, especially not with an AIO or waterblock in general. Some VRMs like this one are tall but they keep the CPU area clear. Older VRM heatsinks were much tighter of a fit. This one has ample room to work with. It looks bigger than it actually is.

I don't have this combo. But I have only seen people have compatibility issues with some amd motherboards. Personally I think your fine.

Most compatibility issues are with m.2 heatsinks nowadays. Most of those are pretty much useless anyways.
