I need some help finding the name of a game that used to come with wild tangent preinstalled on HP computers.

It came on the very first HP desktop I owned back in like 2006 or so.

I've searched and can not seem to find it.  🤔

As I remember it the game was a space ship that you could control the speed of it as you moved through what looked like endless caverns.

The caverns changed as you progressed.

The idea was to shoot stuff while not crashing into the cave walls.

If anyone can tell me the name of that game I would be grateful.

I've been dying to play it again.

When I google that name it comes up as a first person view game.

The game I'm looking for was like third person.

I remember you could see the whole ship (about the size of a quarter) as you played.

Almost arcade type style but it looked better.

🤔

Sad to say, but your are describing whole genre of games. So besides it being a thing in 2006 or probably before it since HP could just chug it in their prebuilds, you aren't giving much to go on. Just see the amount of them listed in Wikipedia. I remember my dad having couple of HP prebuilds (Compaq variants) at that time, they didn't have anything like this IIRC.

Can you remember any details? Like graphics/art style? Platypus would fit the time-frame, but its not exactly cave-flying:

You know I can't remember much but it definitely wasn't that game.

It was a third person type game and I think it was vertically scrolling.

I remember I could see the whole ship (about the size of a quarter on screen) and that is wasn't very colorful but more black, grey, white.

I seem to remember the caves were a grey, white single line drawings. If you know what I'm trying to say.

It definitely looked more cave like rather then the tunnels I've seen in other similar games.

The caves were constantly changing shape also.

I'm not sure about it but I think it had the word Dark in the title.

I also think it had the option to play what was at the time a new first person view for the game but I always favored the third person view of the game.

Which I think was the default for it back then.

The funny thing is if I could just see one still picture of the game play.

I'm sure I'd recognize it lol.

I've searched like crazy but so far I can't find it. 😕

Those details do help. Like it being vertical Shoot 'em up instead of horizontal. And colorscheme. The problem is that late 90s and early 00s were the golden age of free- and shareware. It could very well be some smaller title that isn't easy to find.

I'll try to remember and look up things based on what you have described.

LogicalDrm already suggested that here in his reply and I have searched on that site.

I've looked through lots of stuff on there and google searches but just can't find this particular game.

I give the details that I remember about the game if you read through the replies here.

Thanks anyway for the suggestion.
