10900X Soldered?

Hi all,

 

Simple question: Is the 10900X soldered?

 

I delidded my 7800x, which used thermal paste, and the temps came down dramatically.

 

But my 10900X, same loop, is running in the 80's. Done a little voltage offset to bring it down, but i'm not sure i want them that high in the first place.

 

Any genuine answers are appreciated.

You paid for the whole thermometer, use the whole thermometer. But seriously, 80c is fine on an intel chip. They are rated to run into the 100s for prolonged periods. They use okay solder for the IHS and there isn’t much you can really do besides under-volting or going over the top cooling.
