Edit: Turns out it is bad RAM, Memtest86 is way better than Windows Memory Diagnostic tool.

Started during Christmas Eve (lucky me!), system crashed when gaming (Cyberpunk 2077 and Black Ops Cold War) or during stress test, sometimes in 10 mins, sometimes in an hour or 2. After initial crash, it will follow up by a series of BSOD when restarting windows. System will eventual let me login.

BSOD error code includes: Memory Management, IRQL not less or equal, System Service Exception, Kernal security check failure, System thread exception not handled, Page fault in nonpaged area, etc

PC Spec:

  • Ryzen 7 3700x

  • Asus Tuf gaming X570 plus

  • 4 x 8GB DDR 4 3600

  • RTX 3080

  • Samsung 970 EVO 1TB m.2 nvme SSD

System was stable for at least a year without problem. Also have been using new graphic card for a month and a half now. The last driver update is around early Dec.

Things I did to troubleshoot:

  1. Turn off all overclocking (just like overclock, nothing extreme)

  2. Full virus scan (with Kaspersky)

  3. Update drivers

  4. Reinstall windows but keep personal files

  5. Replace my 10 years old 750 watt PSU to a 850 watt PSU

  6. Driver property tool error check on C drive

  7. Run Windows Memory Diagnostic tool

  8. Turn off anti virus and stress test with a game

  9. Update Bios to the newest version

Nothing I did find the problem and I am totally out of ideas. Any suggestion?

Have you tried going back to and older driver?

I have been gaming constantly ever since Cyberpunk came out and everything was stable and I didn't update any driver during that time. There is no window update, no anti virus update, I really can't think of anything that will trigger BSOD.

DDU your current driver and revert to an earlier version, the December driver has issues with games at the moment. There is also a small chance your power supply does not have enough power. I don't yet have that card so I cannot say this for certain.
