3000 mhz ram not getting to 3000mhz

Hello, I'm having an issue where I go into bios it will let me pick only 2933mhz in the ram frequency. I tried it to see if it ran it does stutter and lag in games and seems to stress my cpu a little more. But I'm unsure really if I should just get 2x8gb of ram instead of using the 4x4gb or if there's maybe a certain setting I need to set in the bios. I'm not 100% on computer knowledge but I will do my best to understand thank you and I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas! I'll put my specs below.

Cpu: i5-6500 Gpu: GTX 1070 Mobo: MSI Z10a m3 Ram: G Skill Ripjaws 4x4gb 3000 mhz

Is XMP Profile is Enabled in the Bios?

Yeah I've tried enabling it also still only pushes to 2933 mhz.

Try manually overclocking your ram to 3000 MHz

I'm sorry about this question because I'm sure it's a lot to explain but how would I overclock the ram?

There is no noticeable difference between 2933 and 3000mhz.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.
