Hey all! I'm new here so I was hoping for help. I recently got my first Musetex tower case. I was scared because of how small of a company they seem to be but they're pretty so I went for It. I was nearly complete When I went to attach my GPU and ran into a problem.... Though the plates you remove on the back can fit a standard PCi slot plate, THE CASE ITSELF CANT! Not only can a standard PCi slot plate not fit far enough into the PC case to screw in, it wont even go in far enough to allow me to plug it into the motherboard. With no room for the back of the PCi slot plate, not only do I lose alot of support but I cannot even install my GPU... I could technically cut off the back of the plate... Or just return the case... Ive heard of making your GPU external but it sounds intimidating. Do you guys have any recommendations on how to fix this problem? Or maybe a simple solution I just totally overlooked??

Did they say anything about PCIe extension?

To fit into it, and have the GPU else where?

Not too much support for external GPU's, unless you have a long extension from the PCIe and power cables.

However, there was a recent issue brought up on extensions.

Might just be a poor extension or broken, but they should work fine for the most part if they have a solid protection layer on them too?

I mean some THICC extensions

What do you mean by the back of the PCIe slot plate? the part for the screws? or the little bit of metal that goes besides the motherboard? what exactly is interfering? Take a photo of where the GPU would go and maybe I can offer some advice, because I can't really picture well what you mean, the cheapest of cases should be able to fit most graphics cards (as long as they are not too big, the MASSIVE graphics cards can cause trouble)

oof, if that is the case then yea, I see how that'd happen, But I'd thought those lengths were standardized, and only the screws and their mounting points varied from case to case.

take one pci cover and put it up to the gpu and look at its length and with. i dont suggests modefiing your gpu unless its old and cheap. if the gpu is longer then i wood return it

if the gpu is fatter then the pci clover then you can thin it down that should be fine but cutting langth off could make it not work right with other case but up to you
