Xeon VS Threadripper?

Both are good for servers, for heavy multitasking, and are the most expensive CPUs. But: Which one is better this time? Intel or AMD server CPUs?

There is no better, there is only different. They have their own use case scenario and there is no definitive answer to this.

There both better at different tasks, so pick what is better for your workload.

Fyi threadripper is not the counterpart to xeon epyc is. Also it is entirely up to the usecase which one is better.

Threadripper aren't AMD's server CPUs, they're designed and marketed towards high end workstations. Epyc is AMD's line of server CPUs and even then can't really be compared to Xeon as a whole due to the fact that the Xeon product line covers a much larger market range than Epyc does, including the workstation line of Xeon CPUs.
