I got an nvidia gpu, I previously had an amd one. Is it important to ddu drives. what benefits does it bring?

Yes I'd DDU drivers just to make sure that every setting resets and there is nothing left in the registry.

I did try to swap 2060 with 3060ti without DDU and that didn't work well. The system didn't even recognize the GPU and had some glitches and performance issues.

Using DDU is at most about 10 minutes of work, which gives you a certainty there are no remnants of old drivers. Very much worth it in my opinion.

Without using DDU, it will likely work fine, but there could be some issues down the line, with certain games thinking you have an AMD card for example.
