At my dad's. I'm still rocking my trusty Dell E176FP monitor, and I noticed something, which I really don't like.

  • Max Operating Temperature 95 °F
  • Humidity Range Operating 10 - 80%

Now, our house doesn't have any air conditioning, and I know last year it got close to 95F, and the humidity often hung around 80%. Would would happen if I were to use the monitor under these conditions, exactly?

I'm not going to kill my only monitor here. Especially where it doesn't heat my room up like my old CRT did.

I think they put those numbers on there in part to protect themselves from any backfire from angry consumers. My guess is that it could handle itself outside of these operating conditions.

I left a monitor in my grams car for 2 days straight outside where it was probably going over 150 Degrees Fahrenheit in the car and the monitor still worked like a charm when I picked it up, soo I dont know maybe I got lucky.

Monitors are usually able to withstand higher temperatures/humidity when they're being stored.
