Posted December 17, 2020 (edited) My Radeon RX 5600 XT suddenly started to thermal throttle, the first time it happen was right after I switched from a sata ssd to an m.2 drive. I reinstalled windows on the m.2 drive and ever since my gpu has been thermal throttling. It does it in every game, even in non gpu heavy games like rocket league. It never happened in any game while I used the m.2 drive. Does anybody have a clue why this is suddenly happening? I have installed the latest drivers, BIOS, windows updates, other updates even did a CMOS reset. My spec: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X Radeon RX 5600 XT 16GB ram at 3000mhz ASUS TUF Gaming B450m-plus motherboard Be quiet! 650Watt powersupply 80 plus bronze rated I also don't oc anything and have stock cooling.
