Are the best there is maybe.

Do you guys have any tips as an newbie in emulators?

Is it really possible to place the game files on my pc from the disk or not.

The one link says yes the other says no.

Yes, PCSX2 is your best bet for PS2 emulation and RPCS3 is your best bet for PS3 emulation.

Ripping PS2 discs is an extremely easy task. If it's a DVD disc, just rip it using any ISO creator. If it's a CD disc, rip it with something that allows you to make a .BIN file out of it.

PS3 discs are a bit weirder, as you'll be better off having a physical PS3 to rip games with.

You can dump your own PS3 games but its not as simple as stick em in and hit dump. PS3 games are encrypted and needs decryption keys to be dumped.

You must also have one of the drives from the list on this page - https://rpcs3.net/quickstart

AFAIK you can straight dump PS2 games very easily.

Don't be expecting to play PS3 games at full speed and glitch free, though RPCS3 does have a pretty good list of compatible titles lots do still have issues and you need a MONSTER PC to get full speed (at least in the more demanding titles).

Another thing that should be noted is PCSX2 requires you to use a BIOS file from your PS2. This requires you to own a PS2, and you have to mod it to allow you to rip the BIOS. This very reason is why I don't use PCSX2 myself. I don't want to have to mod my PS2 and risk messing it up.

Also you should know that RPCS3 is a very demanding emulator, and there aren't many games that will run flawlessly right now. Many games just don't work at all, and the majority of games that will run either run slowly or have random crashes or other bugs.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

@WaggishOhio383What do u suggest then?

there is for ps2 a program called free mcboot.

Or u can buy it instald on a memory card for 5/10 euros.

if u unplug it its works just like it would normal.

U can find this verry easy on google.

If you're asking what I think you should do for PS3 emulation, RPCS3 is really your only option as of right now. PS3 emulation just isn't that far along yet. RPCS3 does work, just don't expect it to work amazingly well, and don't expect it to work for every game.

As far as PS2 emulation goes, I am aware of Free McBoot, just haven't bothered setting it up myself. But yes, you will need to use that to rip your PS2 BIOS for PCSX2 to work. There's also a PS2 retroarch core you could try, and it doesn't require ripping your BIOS (to my knowledge), but it doesn't work as well or with as many games.
