Performance hit from using only one fan in Assassin III

Hessieg

Turns out that the front fan doesn’t fit because of the RAM. I’ll get a bigger case that fits it but meanwhile, would it be safe to use this normally with one fan?

Did you put thermal paste?

How are the temperatures?

I put the thermal paste properly. While booting up there were several hiccups and CPU usage was high. I’ll just not use the PC until the new case arrives and I can assemble everything properly.

Thanks for your help anyway!

Was trying to see if it was safe to use the air cooler with only one fan. Maybe someone else did it before and could confirm or deny. Answered my own question after trying to boot (posted before finishing installation).

If the temperatures are bad under load then it's not safe, that's why i asked it.

Its safe to use that with only one fan. Why would it not be? Most likely safe even without fans as 2600x is not exactly hard to cool :D

Using one fan will be fine, especially with that CPU.

If you really want to use another fan, a 120mm fan should fit in the front.

The angle of the image might be misleading, but does the side panel actually fit?
