I am looking for a dslr (camera) with 16mp and 30x zoom or more but is has to be cheap maybe $100 to $250 nothing more it dosen't have to be the best just good enough for still pics and 720p vid (dosen't have to be 720p just good enough to be clear)recording what are your suggestions

PS: want a time-laps mode that's the only special thing i need other than that still imiges and vid recording

PS: the bigger the sensor the better

dslrs don't measure zoom in 20x and things like that. It's measured in mm (24-80mm for example)

Also you can't get a dslr for $100 to $250 and there are no such things as 20x zooms at that price.

Also, 20x zoom lenses (on compact cameras) usually suck because they're useless without a tripod. At 20x zoom your hand vibrations get amplified so much that any picture at even 10x zoom, let alone 20x zoom will be shaky as hell and horrible.

Yeah like @hawaiims said, there's no way you could get a DSLR with that type of lens and of that quality for that price.

what dslr is it?

Also at that price usually micro 4/3 or APSC cameras take pictures that have identical picture quality and are much better for begginer shooters as far of ease of use for a much cheaper price usually. These are usually the olympus pen series (E-PM2 etc..) or Sony NEX (NEX-3NL). Both are very cheap and better than any DSLRs even twice the price (don't ask me why they're cheaper I have no idea)

You'd need to tell us where you're getting it from. You can get decent DSLRs for not too far out of your price range like the t3i.

@hawaiims they're cheaper because they lack future expansion. You have usually 5 - 10 times as many lens options with the full body as you do with the micro 4/3 or NEX lines.

Hot shoes, weather proof bodies, easier grip, larger array of accessories, multiple memory card slots, there's quite a few reasons why a full body is better.

He's obviously a beginner in photography and a m 4/3 or APS-C (NEX) camera would certainly be better for him as far as ease of use (while not really compromising anything as far as image quality or potential adjustments, which can still be done just like a normal DSLR)

Also, I haven't heard of any weather proof bodies in low end DSLRs.

They exist. I believe Pentax is the company that makes them.

If you're a beginner, you'd be better off learning on a full body. That way when you step up you don't have to relearn everything. It's also easier to learn on a camera where a lot of the knobs will change the settings you want, instead of having to dive through countless menus. More of an issue on the NEX line than the 4/3, entirely depending on the 4/3 model.

The NEX/4/3 would certainly be easier to use, that's for sure.

give me a list of some online stores you can buy from and your maximum budget.

Like I said the zoom level you want is unobtainable though.

Also a old dslr will still take better pics than a low and mid range point and shoot.
