6800XT RYZEN5000 Build

This is what I currently have: 5700xt and a ryzen 2600 in a Silverstone RL08 case. On order is a 6800xt sapphire nitro. Should be coming end of January.

These parts just arrived today. A 5600X, new ram, new motherboard, new SSD. Will install them on sunday, or next friday.

the nitro cards should have a decent amount of binning, so there should be a considerable amount of extra oc potential.
my somewhat aging sapphire nitro+ rx 580 can overclock to 1525mhz, so im assuming the sapphire nitro+ will also have enhanced overclock capability.

but i cant say my overclock is very well.. "energy efficient", my rx 580 pulls anywhere from 220w to 270w lol

I was gonna get a 5900x but I gave up and wanted moar pofomance NOW so I ended up buying a 3900xt. Not bad just not THAT good.

most people go for zen 3 because of the incredible 20%~ ipc uplift

I got mine for $100NZD less than the 6900s that have just been listed. The 6900s available all seem to have lower clock speeds. One day last week I saw a 2.4GHz GPU while browsing at computer parts/porn and I had to build a computer around it.

Hard parts are done. This case is difficult to mount a large cooler in. Time for beer break. May continue finishing this build next sunday. Six weeks to go till my GPU arrives.

You can really see how bad my camera is at colours on the first pictures where leds are set to rainbow.

Woohoo! I just got an email my GPU is with the courier. I thought I was getting it at the end of jan!!!

ok so when you pay an extra 50 or so dollars for the RGB model, it does not come with a RGB cable!

It's done. 3X the performance in ultra settings in RDR2. The RGB on it sucks.
