1080 ti buying help

What modell should I look for when getting a 1080 ti used and should the founders be avoided?

I got a 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid.

No complaints about the card, pump is a bit loud probably because it's a 3-year old one. I bought it with full awareness that I'd have to replace the AIO at some point.

I would advise against a watercooled card if you're not like me. But do look for a beefy cooler if you don't want it to be insanely loud, because 1080 Tis are 275W cards

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

so you're getting 3060ti? if it's available for purchase

im using ichill card from inno3d, the core temps under load is superb, sub 65c on stock

not sure about vrm or vram temps, though

they're also very cheap, for some reason

I think this comes down to how much you wanna wait. 3060 Tis are night unavailable right now whereas used 1080 Tis are, and even if you do get a 3060 Ti there's no guarantee that it'll be $400 in the short or even medium term.

I think we got confirmation about the 3050 coming out? If it's as strong as suggested, that might be the 1080p card to get, though we'll have to wait for reviews. Smaller silicon dies are also more likely to actually be in stock since you can produce so many more of them.

Well I won’t get a new GPU until next year anyways so might just get the MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB VENTUS 2X OC for 615USD translated

Oof on the price though, hopefully it goes down (I know that it's hard to get actual MSRP in smaller countries but still, 50% is a lot)
