Probably gonna go with Ryzen 5 3600 + RTX 2070 Super then

Definitely getting the most fps in this setup

Some games may drop some frames while streaming if they're CPU heavy, but nothing game breaking

It is... Acceptable

Budget (including currency): US$1800 (Rp. 25,000,000)

Country: Indonesia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming, Streaming and Recording at 1080p60fps

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Current Existing Parts:

Motherboard: MSI B550-A Pro (Upgradability Purposes)

RAM: Sniper X DDR4-3600MHz CL19-20-20-40 1.35V 16GB (2x8GB)

PSU: NZXT 650W (I got this because I was planning for the Radeon RX 5700 XT, but after a while about thinking of the purpose of this PC and it's price it made me think twice)

Storage: Seagate Firecuda 2TB

Mice: Logitech G304

Planning to get:

Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500GB SSD

Monitor: Asus VG249Q

Keyboard: Logitech G512

Confused:

CPU

GPU

Case: I don't know yet because I don't want to blow a lot of money here. I did look at Lian Li Mesh II Performance and it looks nice.

So the main question here is: What is a good CPU, GPU pairing for the purpose of gaming and streaming at 1080p?

I have done some research about bottlenecks and stuff but those things confuses me :/

Thanks LTT Community :D

I'd pick ryzen 7 3700 or 5800x

Or ryzen 5 3600 and 5600x, if you wanna stay on lower budget

But having two extra cores definitely will help for streaming when you're running more CPU demanding titles

As for GPU, nvenc is nice for streaming so you'll be looking at Nvidia gpu

For 1080p, 2070S, or 3060Ti will be good for some time

For lower budget, 2060S is also nice

Edit: oh yea, if the 5800x is priced near a 5900x, you could consider that too, but it's slightly overkill definitely

The 5800x has horrible pricing, that's why jumping to 5900x isn't that much more

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

If I do pick a Ryzen 7 3700X (local price is sold at US$355) + 2060S ($466) or it's equivalent (from what I heard is the RX 5700 XT at about $367) will this bottleneck?

I don't have any experience here since this is my first time :S

I am leaning towards Radeon GPU though the price is cheaper.

Side-note where can I get muself a bongo cat? XD

If you're considering getting a 2060S, how about stepping down to ryzen 5, will that allow you to step up to 2700S or 3060ti? It'll overall be better for gaming, streaming should still be ok

We all start somewhere :D

Ask any questions you want and I'll try to answer them with my best

AMD GPU might pump out for fps per dollar, but if you wanna game stream or record, Nvidia GPU are better due to nvenc, their built in encoder, which will do the encoding for streams and alleviate a lot of load from your CPU

AMD GPU does have an encoder too, but they're poopoo

hmm, this sounds good to me 😮

Probably gonna go with Ryzen 5 3600 + RTX 2070 Super then
