Hard drive not being detected

I'm trying to make a plex server on a dinosaur computer. To be specific, i5 650 4gb ram, optiplex 950. I installed a 4tb drives with bunch of movies on it. But it is not to be detected, it doesn't show up in the disk management and file explorer. Does anyone know the possible issue.

Is it detected in BIOS? [EDIT] as a 4tb drive.

Assuming a SATA HDD.

Any of:

• OS Problems
• Disabled sata port
• Bad sata cable
• Bad sata power connection
• Bad drive
• Bad motherboard

Was working fine in my actual pc. Even after I put I back in. I am going to check the bios if it's detected

Does it support the file format?

 

That said I've had issues with old boards having loose sata ports

I rolled that into "bad motherboard". You can't replace a sata port on one.

Got it solved. Unplugged it, and back in. It seemed to work. Thanks
