What ram should i get for the best and smoothest experience?

I have plans for upgrading my pc and im upgrading to a:

5900x,

RTX 3080 Suprim X,

X570 gaming wifi MSI,

but what type of ram should i get?

I develop games and want to have the smoothest VR experience possible.

I need 32GB's of ram and was thinking of 3600MHZ cas14/cas16, but what is the performance difference of timings on AMD?
I need to have the lowest latency possible.

X570 gaming wifi MSI,

not a great board, get the b550 version instead

3600c16 should be enough. the increased cost of 3600c14 is not justified

What's the difference between C16 and C18 for the 3600mhz ram?

Why is the x570 a bad board? I thought the b550 was a cheaper quality board.

I don't know the sweet spot for Ryzen 5000, but with 3000 the sweet spot was 3200MHz and up. I would assume 3600 MHz would be great.

What makes the x570 tomahawk better than the x570 gaming wifi?

gaming wifi is the lowest tier atx msi board, the tomahawk is an excellent board c16 is much better than 18, get 3600 cl16

Would the tomahawk fit in my case though?

Do you have performance benchmarks between c18 and c16? How much fps / latency difference?

If i have the money, would getting a c14 be way faster?

IIRC the board has poor VRMs for an X570. Although you shouldn't really be concerned with that because they will work fine.

well what is your case, depends they are the same size so it sould fit

as for ram, 3600 cl14 is the best optio right now, or 4000 cl16, increase is like 5 %, but you'll feel the less latency, so get a 4 x 8 or 2 x 16 3600 cl14 or 4000 cl16

Which motherboard should be the best motherboard from the x570 msi variant?

yes it will fit

and as I said any ram with the above timing is great, I'd prefer 3600 c14 for best stability

What about the MSI MPG X570 GAMING PRO CARBON WIFI?

Is this a decent variant? I prefer the RGB in my case.

What tier is this and would i miss out on some features?

If you need wifi then the B550 Gaming Edge. If you don't need wifi then the B550 Tomahawk is pretty much the same board minus the wifi.

Not much better than the one you chose. The only good MSI X570 boards are the Tomahawk, Unify, Ace, Creation and Godlike.

I have ethernet, dont need wifi, but if its included it would be pretty sweet as i would not have the limitation if something changes in the future.

You can get good boards on all brands, so up to you if you want to go with Asus. The B550 TUF Gaming Plus Wifi is pretty good if you do.

There is also boards like the Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite AX, MSI B550 Gaming Edge, B550 Gaming Carbon and Asus B550-F Gaming Wifi that also have onboard Wifi 6.

Im thinking of going for the MSI MEG X570 UNIFY and place a RGB strip on the side of the motherboard.

How high is the unify on the tier list? Does it have more features than the gaming wifi? The retailer doesn't really show all of the specifications in my country.

Yes the Unify is a good board. That board doesn't have any RGB lighting, so it seems a bit odd to buy it and then put an RGB strip on it. If you like it though it is solid.

I noticed someone talked about the unify board having a terrible memory controller and also there being a red light at the power switch.

Also, dragon center is very buggy.

I need a stable motherboard which has extremely useful features and is high on the tier list.

What would you recommend me to get? I have a budget of 600$ for my motherboard.

Would the MSI suprim X work the same way on any other motherboard?
