MSI Dragon center for fan settings?

Srihari Krishna

I used MSI Dragon center software and its scenarios are really confusing, Balanced mode makes the fans shout but system works fine, just switching on custom mode with everything default in it makes the fans quieter a lot but the system is slower slightly. What software should i use for my system and fans perfomance or what settings should i change in dragon center to run quieter at idle

MSI’s dragon software is kinda junk. Just do it in the BIOS, it has a pretty self-explanatory GUI and fan curve graph you can click on and move.

I did that with my CPU cooler. Made it so the chip runs a little toasty under 100% all-core load (75-77C), but it’s rare that it sees that, it idles at 45C with a 40% fan speed, and is otherwise pretty whisper quiet.

I started to use dragon center to keep my fans silent and the idle temps are about 36C and when gaming i change the profile to balanced and idle jumps to 45C and game lauches and games gain a more FPS

i ended up getting my 2nd mobo choice since the MSI one suddenly was 30 bucks more expensive, so i  got asus z490-p

Pfft you know I've heard MSI has been upping their prices lately due to demand. I was looking for their X570 Tomahawk not long ago and the price went up something like double on Newegg/Amazon.

I guess that's just Supply/Demand? I know tech stuff in general is pretty hard to come by right now...
