My first PC $1500 Build list ideas

Dragonisles

Budget (including currency): 1500 can go a little over if it is worth it

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Overwatch, CSGO, Destiny 2, Minecraft, FS 2020, school (canvas, google, YouTube, etc), I might try streaming but prob not very much if at all

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a 1080p 144hz monitor. I want to use a 5600x and 3070 as it is the newest generation and I am willing for stock to come back. I mostly want to buy the rest of the parts for the pc during Black Friday and Cyber Monday so I can take advantage of the sales. Any tips input is very valuable, thank you!

No price for the CPU yet but the usual retail price should not push it much more than 20 to 50 dollars over the budget.

Are you overclocking that CPU? If not then I would consider getting a good air cooler from noctua instead as if the fan fails on that its easy to spot where as if your pump fails or if the cooler leaks your going to be potentially out alot of money.

Well you can do some overclocking on air if you get a DH15 from Noctua and the performance is not that big of a difference.

Now if you really want to try max overlocking water is a good choice but then you are usually talking a custom loop job and those are according to Linus both expensive and more maintenance intensive which is why I went with air cooling for my 3900x.

On the other hand if you want to overclock and want the cleaner look an AIO can provide then by all means go for it.

IMO going for an AIO is better because of esthetics, check if you can find the H100I PRO XT which is the newest version of this aio (I have got this one and is OK for an i7 10700K), if you want better future proofing get a 280mm or 360mm, check if your case supports the AIO you select though.

RAM seems OK I would go for 3600 Cl16 as you did.

3070s are out of stock but just to configure a price, I inlcuded a ventus 2x, dont have to get that Ventus card but its just for the budget. Ryzen 5000 series will need a bios update. For bios update you will need a previous gen cpu like a 3600x or something.

Ive made some adjustments and its what fits in the budget. If you arent gonna OC then i'd stick to the Default cooler which can leave more money in your pocket for a better GPU

heres the new build

Is there anyway to do the bios update without a previous cpu because this is my first desktop. I have a laptop if there is a way to put the bios on a flash drive

Well you might want to consider the B550 motherboard I linked as well as the PSU if you want to save some cash as now that the B550 boards are out you are not limited to the x570 boards.

Buy a motherboard with bios flashback, then just use a usb drive with the bios file and push the flashback button.
