Okay, so I'm almost finished building my rig. I was going to buy a 780, but by the time I have the money, the next gen card might be out. How much should I expect the (880?) to cost? I tried looking for the price of the 780 @ launch but could only find info on the Ti. Could it be <$700 or am I dreaming?

780 was 649 on release.

It really depends on performance, how the card will stack. It may even be 900$ at launch for what we know. Considering there is about 30% more power per core, and if its same amount of cores and stuff... who knows.

No-one really knows but I would guess its going to be in the $600-700 range. But we don't know until it is released.

They might go back to the old 500-600 format they had before the 700 series but due to AMD lagging behind last generation I doubt that will happen.

They tend to introduce cards around the same price-point as the previous Gen and drop the older series a few quid. However, given AMD really have nothing to compete with a potential 880 (if nVidia don't screw up) nVidia can charge what they like

I should think they will be in a similar price range as the 700 series.
