i say AMD for overall overclocking but intel for general speed

I agree with this.

Amd push more than a Intel.

But intel is better for speed

If you want balls to the walls speed just pick Intel. AMD's chips can be pushed quite hard themselves though but they're never really as fast as Intel. But overclockability in general both are equally as good so I choose both.

Why wouldn't someone overclock their processors, wether AMD or Intel?

I think overclocking is overstated by alot of enthusiasts , you dont get anywere near the performance for overclocking as you did back in the day , people were overclocking Celerons for 60% higher clock speeds than stock. If you read what alot of people say on the internet about overclocking you'd think that it makes your computer go 10 times faster and grant the ability to go into Warp speed 9 :P

Even if its only 20-30% overclock thats still well worth taking  a little time to overclock.

Both, Intel and AMD have great Overclocking CPU's, it all comes down to what CPU fits or needs, like more, and can afford, AMD has outstanding price to performance CPU's, Intel has outstanding performance CPU's at a premium price, I like both company's, and buy both Intel and AMD CPU's depending on what I need it for.
