So after some woes with my new and shiny GTX 1070 FTW2 I could confirm that the GPU is actually new and got the full 3 years "limited warranty" (*whatever that means) but it also says there's a "step up program" I could join...

I know I could just check by signing up but I don't really want to do that without more knowledge , and the whole website is rather confusing to me, so my question is what would I ever possibly "step up" to typical, and at what costs?

 I get it might not even do anything for me, but it clearly says I could join / sign up for a "step up" so...

Step up allows you within 90 days of your purchase date upgrade your GPU with the step up program where you pay the difference between what you already spent, and what you would owe the difference between the new GPU you select.

My question was more like how it actually works and which GPUs I could get - for example would I be able to get a 3060/70 this way?

 Basically I just click on it then I see what they offer, I suppose - like I said the whole website is designed in a way that makes me not wanting to randomly click on any thing, it's right under "delete your warranty for good" button also (which is completely hilarious to me, not that there is that option but *where* it is placed lol...)

Step-up is designed to protect against buying a product that immediately becomes obsolete.

(like buying an RTX 2080Ti a week before the release of the RTX 3080)

AFAIK It doesn't apply if the newer card is already released when you buy the old one, and only 90 days after purchase.

So it doesn't apply to you.

@RadiatingLight thanks! Now I'll just have to find an MSRP... (seems odd never had to look up a MSRP... in my country that's completely meaningless, usually)

Umm, there isn't any confirmation for the step up program?

It took forever to even get there (it kept going to my profile page instead)

And finally, after I clicked submit, no confirmation whatsoever...

They also say I need to provide the invoice, which I already uploaded over a week ago!?

Is this normal? Idk where to check this but I did upload it, that's how I even unlocked the step up thing...

@Skiiwee29 @RadiatingLight

You guys have any experience with this, shouldn't I at least get a confirmation email for the submission? (didn't get one yet)
