Upgrading Laptop Screen

Hi all. I have a Dell Latitude E5570 that currently has a 1366x768 and I was looking to upgrade it. From the research I've done I should be able to upgrade to a 1920x1080 no problem but I was wondering if I could also upgrade to the touchscreen model. The limitation is the 40 pin connector that is different between the two types. So here is my question that I hope someone can answer. If I get the touch screen model and the 40 pin connector it requires, will this connector work on my laptop? It wouldn't make sense in my head for the motherboards to be limited but I'm wondering if anyone knows for sure. Thanks!
