Ideally it would be something like Quad SLI Titan Black Editions or Quad SLI 780TI's or Quad CF 290X's but that would be the ideal config. A GTX 780 or 780TI or a R9 280X or 290 will be just fine for playing Battlefield 4 at Max settings.

Well I don't want my pc to run hot andthe fan being like a vaccum clener

You could put more fans in it or even watercool the GPUs

Why are you planning to do SLI instead of getting a single GPU setup? Also BF4 Supports Mantle so whatever card you get make sure it's AMD. My theory is if you have money for anything in SLI/crossfire then just get a R9 290.

While Mantle sounds like it is HUGE for performance it is only about a 5-20 FPS increase in BF4 which you won't really need when you are already running above 60 FPS. It's all up to the OP what company and features he likes best.

Crossfire doesn't scale well in bf4. I would just go with one R9 290, overclock it, and call it a day

I know this,BF4 is an AMD game, so as far as OP's features this is all I'm really getting from him, and when he says 780ti my brain reverts to R9 290 in majority of cases, let alone someone who just wants to run BF4

Still learning how to play Dota 2 :)

mantle will probably work on ALL gpus because mantle isnt hardware or manufactures related as such, just depends if nvidia wants to use mantle

this isn't concrete

if game developers code mantle into any game and nvidia decide that mantle is worth the trouble then itll happen...

i shouldnt say soon or will but most probably ill edit my post

As I said I don;t want my pc to sound like a vacuum cleaner

I suggest you go with a GTX 780 or a GTX 780TI with a aftermarket cooler (Such as Asus Direct CU2 Cooler) They generally run cooler and quieter than their AMD counterparts and if Mantle ever does come to the Nvidia side then it will definitely be worth it.

I want the Gtx 780 ti

--------------------------------------------------------

As I said I don;t want my pc to sound like a vacuum cleaner

Don't mind my being blunt, you've already made up your mind that you want a GTX780 Ti, better yet, get the GTX Titan Black, so why even bother to ask? Just get the Titan Black or 780 Ti and be done with it. It's quite apparent you have already made up your mind, no point asking here and saying AMD runs hot....sure, hotter than the GTX 780 Ti, but it can be quieter with good third party coolers like those on the Gigabyte, MSI, Sapphire 3rd party cooled models.

Just get the GTX 780 Ti or Titan Black and close/end this pointless thread....I don't get people who ask a question but have obviously made up their minds. End this pointless thread already!

I am kind of confused. Why are you asking people what GPU to get if you already have your heart set on the 780ti? Just get it if you want. Would I get it for bf4? No, honestly a 780ti would be a waste in my opinion...If I were primarily playing BF3/4 I would probably go AMD.

Also, why do you want to do SLI so bad? You need to add context to some of this stuff.

Uhh...that's why you go aftermarket design graphics cards...on both the AMD and NVidia side (unless you really NEED the reference cooling...for an example, water cooling).

Why the heck would you go reference, when you can get

ASUS Direct CUII or ROG Matrix

Sapphire Dual-X, Tri-X or Vapor-X

MSi Twin Frozr 3 or 4

EVGA ACX Cooling

etc...

What are your system's current specifications anyways (i.e. CPU, motherboard, RAM, power supply, etc) ??
