What motherboard and fans are you using?

The cable you linked is not a header used for case fans. Make sure you're looking at the correct headers.

Fan headers have a notch to align the pins.聽

Guys I recently bought a cpu fan, it has 4(female) pins and my聽motherboard has a 3pin (male). I tried the 4pin to 3pin... but it doesn鈥檛 work.. So

You should be able to plug in 4-pin PWM fans into 3-pin headers on your motherboard.

Have you made sure that the notch in the fan connector was properly aligned with the one on the motherboard?
