Hey! i was wondering if i should get the 750ti or 760 for an upcoming bang for buck/ silence optimised build.

i do play sometimes but i'm not what you would call hardcore. looking for a decent overclocking card.  (kinda felt like i have to upgrade from my 550 ti)

the other specs for the build are: i5 4670k    corsair vengance 16gb (4x4)         rog maximus vi hero.          corsair rm 650     fractal design define r4 window      and a corsair h100i

Depends on pricing and what the system is being used for.

The 750ti and the 760 are both great cards, but as @WoodenMarker said it depends on what you are using it for.

My preference would be the 760 since you can SLI it in the future.

I would get a 760 because if you get a 750ti you would be paying either the same or less or a little bit more than your i5 and you should really never spend less or the same amount on the graphics cards

Theres a pretty big difference between the two. I can say for myself that MSI Twin Forzr IV is very quiet, and to go with a 760 would be a god choice as its a beast of a card and will cover you for a while.
